Dropbox integration is made up of 2 pillars.
- Auto-import, which allows any Jenji user to simply create an expense from their Dropbox account by copying a supporting document to a dedicated directory.
- Synchronisation, which allows the Administrator of a Jenji Team or Enterprise plan to automatically retrieve the supporting documents of approved expenses in their Dropbox account.
Auto-Import feature via Dropbox
Available to all users.
Simply create an expense in your Jenji account from your Dropbox account by copying a supporting document to a dedicated directory.
How to link your Dropbox account?
- Go to the web application at app.jenji.io.
- Go to the User tab by clicking at the top right of the screen, then click on Profile & Preferences
- In the Personal Settingsmenu on the left of the screen, click on the Integrations
- Click on the Link a Dropbox account
How to use auto-import via Dropbox?
Once your Dropbox account is linked to your Jenji account, you can find a directory called Auto-Import in your Dropbox account, the routing of which is:
To create an expense automatically:
- Copy the supporting document to the Auto-Import directory.
- The expense is created and is available in your Jenji account.
- Check the expense data and edit it if necessary.
Note: This 'magic' directory is especially useful for batch entries. You can drag and drop your 200 photos of supporting documents, your entire stock of train tickets in PDF format, etc.
Synchronisation feature via Dropbox
Available in Team and Enterprise plans.
Automatically retrieve approved expense supporting documents from your Dropbox account and share them with your team or your accountant.
How do I activate Dropbox synchronisation?
As the Administrator of your company's Jenji account, go to the web application at app.jenji.io.
- Access Settings by clicking at the top right of the screen.
- In the Company Settingsmenu on the left of the screen, click Integrations > Connected Apps.
- Click on the Link a Dropbox account
- Enter the email address and password of the Dropbox account.
- Click on Connect.
Once your Dropbox account is linked to your Jenji account, you can find a directory called Jenji in your Dropbox account , the routing of which is:
Supporting documents are available in files organised by year, month and employee.
Note: Only the supporting documents of expenses in the Accepted state are synchronised.
